I'm Running Slackware V3.2, Linux kernel V2.0.29, and GCC V2.7.2.1

Some of my PHP scripts don't get evaluated thru Apache and some do. When I loaded
V1.2.0 of Apache, I got the message in my logfile:
created shared memory segment #730499
	I had to backdown to Version 1.2b6 .

I'm sorry, I don't understand what your problem is.  The
message about shared memory is normal and is not an error.
If you are having trouble with PHP then you really have
to take it up with the author.

Is there something wrong with the base distribution that
you are having trouble with?

 before in the Error_log file and figured the the problem was with apache.
