Infrastructure has put a very specific set of rules in place to prevent abuse of our services. Should you find yourself breaking one of these rules, your IP will be banned from all services across the ASF.
The following actions are NOT allowed on ASF services:
Slow Loris-like abuse (too many request timeouts).
More than 100,000 pageviews on any box per 12 hours.
More than 100,000 JIRA requests per day (24h).
More than 10,000 download page views per day (24h).
More than 50 Gibibytes traffic per 12 hours (does not include mirrors, but does include archive.apache.org!).
More than 100 mebibits/second sustained traffic for an hour or more.
More than 500 viewvc requests per day (24h).
More than 100,000 confluence or moin (wiki) page visits per day.
More than 7,500 bugzilla requests per day (24h).
More than 1,000 gitweb (git-wip/gitbox) requests per hour.
More than 75,000 repository.apache.org visits per day.
If you find yourself either banned by mistake, or if you have been banned but would like some leniency (as for instance with a NAT IP that services a lot of people), please either contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit us on HipChat.
